Maple and Birch Farms isn’t going to be just another farm where you stop and grab fresh vegetables for tonight’s salad, or that place you hunt down because they’ll have some of the best pumpkins to choose from (yes, it’s a goal though, because why not?). No, when you come here, you will be escaping to a place where you can just breathe. A place with no alarm clocks, no meetings, just you.

So, what’s our mission you ask?

To have a place where you can escape the chaos that the world seems to demand of everyone. To have a place to have peace of mind, where you can think, breathe, and just enjoy all that nature has to offer.

Now, you’re probably thinking to yourself, “Yeah, right, and how do you suppose you’re going to do that?”

Well, imagine if you will, waking up in the morning with the sounds of nature around you. Off in the distance you hear the crowing of a rooster and the ducks as they make their way to the pond for their morning swim. You step out of your yurt and see sheep grazing nearby as the sun rises to show all her glory. Just utter peace. No sirens, no cars honking, just utter peace. Just you with your coffee, sitting on the deck enjoying the view that mother nature has provided. Here, there is a sense of peace. A place you can get away and breathe. No stressing about those said deadlines or waiting on that zoom meeting to come to an end.

Instead of heading into town for breakfast, you head up to the main house where you can have breakfast served from the family’s food truck. On a different day, you would head over to the community garden and have your pick of the many fruits and vegetables that are available.

Throughout the day you can choose to relax in your own space or join in on the many activities that are held throughout the seasons. Maybe you’ll head over to the sauna or take one of the many classes available. Or maybe you’ll just stay in your own space and work on that novel that you’ve always wanted to write. Needing to freshen up before relaxing for the night, you head over to the community bath house that has an endless supply of hot water in your own private stall, complete with your own sink and toilet.

The moon shines brightly upon the farm as nightfall reigns with only the sounds of crickets and the crackling of fire that’s before you. As the fire draws down and the stars shine brightly above you, you head back into the yurt and into the large comfortable bed where you drift off to sleep, your mind and body finally at peace.

No matter what you choose to do while you stay at Maple and Birch Farms, you’ll know you’ll be leaving with a more serene feeling than before you came. That is all we want for those that choose to stay or visit the farm. That is our mission. Your mind and soul is so important, that sometimes all you need is to get away to a place that believes everyone deserves to have a feeling of peace in their lives. That is our mission. That is our goal.

We look forward to meeting you.

Our Mission, Our Plans

Have you ever walked down the street of Times Square and just stop for a moment and look around? Hard to believe you can feel so alone and lost in a city full of people and opportunities. You close your eyes and breathe in, but then you remember that you’re not wondering through the woods from your childhood, and that’s not the clean fresh air of the forest you you’re breathing in, but the fumes of the many taxis and buses rushing by.

Rushing by… Your whole life is passing you by when there’s a time and schedule for everything. Meetings to get to, deadlines to meet, business proposals to create and so yet another dinner with the family must canceled. It’s alright, you’ll just ask to reschedule…

The weekend finally comes, and if you’re lucky enough to get it off, you’re playing catch-up with the family and friends you never get to see, but the next thing you know, it’s Monday and you have to do it all over again.

No time to breathe, no time to stop, no time to be just you.

Until now…
